【Abstract】 Geology has been closely related with social demand since it established in China.This paper analyses the relationship between scientific research and social requirement by studying the development of Chinese hydrogeology and engineering geology and the academic career of its pioneer,academician Chen Mengxiong.From this case study,the paper reflects the relationship between academic research and society,polity,economy,especially after Chinese scientific system was founded.更多还原
