【Abstract】 The lowest magnitude of completely locatable earthquakes characterizes the detection capability for a seismic recording system in a region.Based on the frequency-magnitude relation of earthquakes,a statistical analysis on the detection rate of regional earthquakes has made in this paper.A parameter m_r,the lower magnitude limit for the earthquakes with 70.7% locatable ratio,is defined to describe the detection capability.On the basis of the earthquake catalogue for 36 years,from 1970 to 2005,the detection level of the seismograph networks in China mainland is objectively evaluated.更多还原
