【Abstract】 The great Wiechert seismograph in the Nanjing Seismic Station was imported from Germany in early 1930s. This paper briefly introduces the recording characteristics of the great Wiechert seismograph. Taking the seismograms recorded in the Nanjing Seimic Station as examples, the recording characteristics of the great Wiechert seismograph within the epicentral distance of 300 to 2000 km, is described and its historical role in fast determination of earthquake parameters is reviewed.更多还原
