【Abstract】 Multimodal discourse analysis focuses on the modes other than language and the relationship between various modes.Visual grammar is the theoretical framework for analyzing the role of visual elements in the process of meaning construction. The multimodal characteristics of English listening and speaking textbooks are obvious. Through the analysis,it is found that images and other elements cooperate with language modes to realize their reproduction meaning,interactive meaning and composition meaning. The study of the relationship between different modes and the selection criteria of multi-modal resources is helpful to optimize the listening and speaking course.更多还原
