【Abstract】 Permissible deformations of surface buildings are the premise for drafting the construction option of metro tunnels. The author adopted the back analysis method to calculate permissible deformations based on the damaged condition of old houses,compiled the table of damage levels of buildings,setting inclinations (settlements difference) as the damage criterion for buildings with larger stiffness and crack widths for the buildings with smaller stiffness,with corresponding calculation method of permissible deformations appended.
