伽师地震与区域断层活动研究
ON JIASHI EARTHQUAKES AND RECENT FAULT ACTIVITYIN SOUTHERN TIANSHAN MOUNTAIN AREA
【摘要】 利用GPS、连续倾斜和地震活动性资料分析了伽师地区构造活动的特点和伽师强震群的动力背景。结果表明 :在印度洋板块的挤压下 ,塔里木盆地的右旋俯冲运动是造成南天山地区地震活动的主要原因 ;1996年 3月 19日伽师阿图什 6 .7级地震 ,强烈地影响了该地区块体由向西南倾斜转向北西向倾斜 ,并可能成为诱发伽师地区强震群活动的主要动力因素。利用 1998年和 1999年对该地区GPS测量的结果 ,给出了该地区断层活动的水平。
【Abstract】 On the basis of the data of GPS, continuous tilt and seismic activity we researched the tectonic characteristics in southern Tianshan mountain area and dynamic background of 1997 Jiashi earthquakes.It is demonstrated that main control factor for seismic activity in southern Tianshan mountain area is the right-lateral underthrust of Tarim basin and the Atushi earthquake %M%s6.7,occurred on 19 Marth,1996,made the Tarim basin tilt turns from SW to NW and triggers possibly to the Jiashi earthquakes.Using GPS observations carried out in 1998 and 1999,we calculated the level of fault activity in this region.Comparing it with the real seismic activity,we proposed the feasibility of seismic risk analysis with monitoring the fault movement.
