【Abstract】 In modern sense, the Central Park was the first real “park” that had ever appeared in the city of Beijing. As an urban public space newly emerging, the central park embraced a great deal of social life in every respect. It was also one of those places where East met West and where politics and culture, state and the public left traces of their existence. The central park provides us with a model for the study of social history. It witnesses the change of time, and reflects the miscenllaneousness of Beijing society during the early years of the Republic of China.更多还原
