【Abstract】 The present paper reviews the accidents and disasters in China in the year 2003. Some statistical data are given. The accidents and disasters include fire (city and town fire, forest fire, and grassland fire), dust weather, flood and drought, agricultural disasters (drought, flood, hail, and freeze disaster), oceanic disasters (storm tide, red tide, surf, sea ice, and oil spill), geological disasters (earthquake and mud-rock flow).
