学科馆员与大学图书馆知识服务研究

【摘要】 大学图书馆是学校的文献信息中心,是为教学和科学研究服务的学术性机构,是学校信息化和社会信息化的重要基地。大学图书馆的工作是学校教学和科学研究工作的重要组成部分。然而网络环境的出现削弱大学图书馆的资源优势,随着网络的普及以及数字化信息迅速增长,无形的网络挑战着有形的图书馆传统的地位。用户信息习惯的演变挑战图书馆传统服务工作,数据库服务商的发展也严重冲击了图书馆的生存,笔者认为只有引入新的服务理念与技术,改变当前大学图书馆服务模式才能制止颓势。本文以学科馆员、以及学科馆员与知识管理、知识服务、信息素养等关联方面目前研究现状和实践状况作为出发点,研究分析了图书情报领域对学科馆员与知识服务的研究进展情况,发现当前研究存在以下几方面不足:缺乏对知识服务内容的深入研究;对学科馆员制度建立的规范研究涉及较少;缺乏有针对行的可执行的图书馆知识服务模式。这些发现为本文研究奠定了坚实的理论基础。笔者通过实地调查及文献调研发现目前大学图书馆所提供的服务与大学用户的需求之间存在着极大的矛盾。大学图书馆用户知识需求呈现个性化、专业化、多元化、动态化和集成化的趋势,而图书馆服务并没有适应这种变化趋势。这显示大学图书馆的服务要进行一定的调整,解决两者之间的矛盾。只有这样大学图书馆才能在一所大学的建设发展过程中继续发挥其作用,实现大学图书馆的自身价值,使之不被其他的单位所替代。本文结合目前大学图书馆的发展趋势提出对此矛盾的解决之道:即发展由学科馆员主导的知识服务,以满足大学用户日渐高涨的个性化、针对性服务需求。在文中笔者对目前所存在的信息服务模式——定题服务和参考咨询服务模式进行了深入的剖析,发现在目前的状态下,传统的定题服务模式及参考咨询服务模式虽已经势微,但依旧有其一定的存在价值。笔者根据信息技术在图书馆应用的发展情况,引入新的服务理念和服务技术,利用学科馆员独特的作用,对定题服务和参考咨询服务进行适应学科用户需求的优化与改造,延展它们的生命力。笔者根据目前大学图书馆的生存状态提出了基于学科馆员的知识服务SKC模式。SKC即学科知识共享空间(Subject Knowledge Commons)的英文缩写,而学科馆员掌控着学科知识共享空间的运行,是学科知识共享空间管理员(Subject Knowledge Commons Officer,简称SKCO).本文所探讨的SKCO即学科知识共享空间首席知识官,他最主要的任务就是成为学科用户在共享空间当中进行学习与科研的顾问,掌管共享空间内所有与学科知识服务相关的工作,一是发展并建立一个技术(或是程序)去创造、保护、及使用一些已知的知识;二是设计并创造一个环境或活动去发现一些未知的知识;三是在学科知识共享空间中利用自身的学识与技能对学科用户的研究进行辅导;四是提供信息素养培训,提高学科用户的信息素养。因此SKCO在共享空间当中从事的角色主要有四个:一是成为一个策略家、未来学家,预测用户需求,以知识服务作为服务目标并掌握共享空间未来的发展方向。二是成为一个咨询者(Consultant)、整合者,引发用户的创意、倾听创意并予以响应,在激发创新与符合用户需求之间取得平衡,整合大学图书馆馆藏学科资源,以充分满足用户需求为最终目标。三是成为一个环境学家(Environmentalist)与技术专家(Technologist),将知识共享空间塑造成个适合激发创意与知识交流的环境或是作业平台。四是成为一个教育家,他必须能敏锐地发现学科用户信息素养当中存在的问题,及时提供帮助,提高学科用户信息素养,进而提高其工作效率。也就是说SKCO在知识共享空间中最主要的职能是像管道工一样,将图书馆内外的各种资源、知识通过不同的管道,导向适当的用户,最终为用户所用。SKCO在共享空间当中充当用户学习与科研的顾问,为其提供服务并通过融入课程或网络的方式开展信息素养教育。大学图书馆知识服务绩效管理是保障知识服务有效进行的一个重要手段,大学图书馆知识服务绩效管理最重要的环节是对服务绩效的评估,本文通过对目前国际上通行的图书馆服务绩效评估方法深入地总结与剖析,从大学图书馆服务环境、学科馆员素养、知识服务能力、知识服务内容、馆员完成工作计划、知识服务成效和用户满意度等7个方面确定知识服务评估指标体系,以满足绩效评估的需求,通过绩效评估进一步发现知识服务改善的空间,提高学科馆员服务效率,保证服务过程中质量的统一性,以更好地满足大学学科用户的需求。提出了实施绩效评估实施的原则与策略,保证绩效评估过程及结果的透明、公正、公开,保障学科馆员在绩效评估当中的权益。

【Abstract】 Academic Library is the school’s documentation and information center, teaching and scientific research services for the academic institutions,as an important base for school informationization and social informationization. Academic library is an important part of the univercity. However, the emergence of the network environment weakened academic library, as well as the network popular and rapid growth of digital information, the invisible network challenges the visible status of the traditional library. The change of library users needs challenge traditional services, the threat of competition intensifies library’s survival, only the introduction of new concepts and techniques to change the current status of university library services in order to save the tide.In the dissertation, subject librarian and knowledge management, knowledge services, information literacy and other related aspects of the current status of research and practice as the base.Found the current lack of research exists in the following aspects:the lack of depth of knowledge services research; on the subject librarian system established norms study involved less;lack of enforceable against the line of library knowledge service model.These findings be regarded as the solid theoretical foundation of dissertation.The author found that there are great contradictions between users needs and academic library service through the investigation in the academic library, indicated that the university library service to carry out some adjustments to resolve the contradiction between the two. Only then the academic library could to play its role in the development process of the university, so that it is not replaced by other units.In this dissertation, the development of the current trends in academic libraries has conflicting solution:develop the knowledge services lead by the subject librarian to meet the increasingly univercity users personalized, targeted service needs.In the dissertation the author analysis the current mode of the information services-SDI and Reference Service conducted in-depth, found even if that the traditional service mode of the SDI and Reference Service has micro potential, but they still have some value, Author based on the application of information technology in library development, introduced the new service concepts and service techniques, to adapt SDI and Reference Services to meet the needs of university library users and extend their vitality.The author archits SKC model for knowledge services based subject librarian. Subjcet librarian is Subject Knowledge Commons Officer (SKCO), means that the subject librarian is the knowledge commons’administrator. The dissertation discusses the SKCO in Subject Knowledge Commons for the Chief Knowledge Officer, his main task is to control space and subject knowledge of all service-related work, the first is to develop and establish a technology (or process) to create, protect, and using some known knowledge;the second is to design and create an environment or activity to find some unknown knowledge; the third is to use its own knowledge and skills to help user’s research in the Subject Knowledge Commons;the fourth is to provide the train of information literacy to improve the user’s information literacy. Therefore SKCO were engaged main four roles in the commons:First, he must be a strategist, who has the vision, so he can master knowledge service as a tool to develop the Subjcet Knowledge Common, and he must be able to transform the user’s needs into of the action quickly and efficiently.Second, he must be a consultant, integrator, must be able to trigger the user’s creativity, listen to the ideas and respond for user. Not only to meet a balance between stimulate innovation and the user needs, but also to integrate academic library resources to fully meet user needs as the ultimate goal.Third, he must be an Environmentalist and Technologist, he must adapt the Subjcet Knowledge Commons for the stimulation of innovation and creative exchange of environment or platform to encourage and stimulate the conduct of interdisciplinary subject research.Fourth, he is an educator, he must be able to discovered the problems of information literacy among the user quickly, to help improve the user information literacy, and to improve users’efficiency.So,the main function of SKCO in Subjcet Knowledge Commons is as same as plumbers, to push the variety of knowledge to the user through different channels.Academic library knowledge service performance management is the way to assure knowledge service.But knowledge service performance management based on the library knowledge service performance evaluation. In this dissertation, author research the methods of library service performance evaluation in the world, from the methods,author summary and analysis in-depth summary and analysis, from the service environment, librarians quality, service capabilities,service content, to complete the work plan, service effectiveness and user satisfaction, etc.to be find the best way to meet academic library knowledge service performance, and further find range for improve knowledge services,build the strategy of knowledge service to ensure the uniform of service quality in service process, so as to meet the needs of users better in the university.
