【摘要】 张道一先生是我国著名的工艺美术史论家、民艺学家、图案学家、东南大学艺术学系创始人。其学术思想涵盖工艺美术学、民艺学、艺术学和设计艺术学等领域,并建构了独具特色的工艺文化观、造物观、民艺观、教育观等前瞻性的理论体系,进而引起了学界的诸多关注。但是,目前对其学术思想的研究,尚缺乏系统的梳理和综合的论述。鉴于此,本文试图以较为全面的视角研究和阐发张先生的理论精髓,目的是通过了解和分析在艺术发展道路上的一位组织者所做过的事来谈艺术和艺术发展的规律,并寻求能对当今中国设计艺术学科发展有所启迪的方法。本文首先对张先生的学术历程进行历史性的综述,意在对他艺术思想内容的深入研究作一铺垫。从中可以看出,张先生对工艺美术、民艺、图案学、艺术学和设计艺术学的见解和思索有着一定的源泉和基础。尤其是师从陈之佛、庞薰琹二先生的过程为他学术思想的发展奠定了基石。对张先生工艺美术思想的考究是本文的研究重点之一。特别是他对工艺美术本质的思考,展现出其工艺文化观的精髓。而“本元文化”论的提出,更是他深究工艺美术特质的理性思索,是对工艺美术,乃至后来设计艺术的重要贡献。本文还阐发了他关于造物艺术论的见地,并总结了其有关造物艺术的本质规律。张先生有关图案学的反拨与重释亦是本文的研究范畴。对其思想要义的梳理,主要集中在张先生为“图案”正名,以及提出建立现代中国图案学体系的构想上。研究表明,重建现代图案学体系是张先生对图案概念和本质深刻认识的结果。同时,倡导向国外图案的学习,亦是他理性地完善中国现代图案学的方式和方法之一。本文通过研究张先生有关民间文化在文化分类中的重要性,民间艺术、民间美术与民间工艺的关系,中国民艺学学科的建立等方面的观念,阐析出其有关“母体型”文化的见地。并进一步分析出他以中国传统文化为基原而对民间文化和民艺复兴的理想和方法。文章还就张先生在美术学建构中的理论精要进行解读,并阐发其在美学领域的理性思考。同时以张先生对艺术学学科创建的探索为视角,阐发其关于艺术本身、宏观研究艺术学学科、系统艺术教育观三方面的精髓。文章最后总结出张先生的著述特点、思考和治学的特点,及其理论创造对今后艺术发展的启示。

【Abstract】 In China, Mr. ZHANG Daoyi is a famous theoretician of Arts and Crafts, Folk Art, Design, and the initiator for the Department of Arts Discipline, Southeast University. He whose academic thought has covered the Arts and Crafts Discipline, Folk Art Discipline, Arts Discipline and Art and Design Discipline has constructed distinctive outlook of Handicraft Culture, Artificiality, Folk Art and Art Education, which has aroused lots of experts’attention. Presently, however, there still are out of systematic research and synthetical discussion about his achievement. According to this situation, the author has intended to study and elucidate Mr. ZHANG’s marrow of theory with comparatively rounded angle of view, and aimed for discussing art and the regularity of the development of art though realizing and analyzing the accomplishment of one organizer on road of development of art, seeking for the approach that will enlighten the development of Chinese Art and Design Discipline.Firstly, the author has historically summarized the academic course of Mr. ZHANG Daoyi, which has meant the forshadowing for further study on his art thought. From the study, we can be obviously conscious of the the certain wellhead and basis about his view of Arts and Crafts Discipline, Folk Art Discipline, Design Discipline, Art Discipline and Art and Design Discipline. Especially the experiences that he followed the Mr. CHEN Zhifo, PANG Xunqin to study the theory laid the foundation of the development of his academic thought.Research in Mr. ZHANG’s thought about Arts and Crafts is one of the focal point in the article. His consideration of the essence of Arts and Crafts particularly displays the soul of outlook in Handicraft Culture. Moreover, the emphasis of the thesis of“Primitive Culture“is even his rational thought in depth study on idiosyncrasy of Arts and Crafts, and is an important contribution to Arts and Crafts and the Art and Design. The article has also elucidated his point of view about Artificiality, and summarized the essential regularity. Mr. ZHANG’s confutation and re-interpretation about Design Discipline is also the domain of the research. Combing out his substance has been focused on that he clarified the conception of Design, and hatched the assumption of Chinese Modern Design System. The research indicates that rebuilding the Chinese Modern Design System is the consequence of Mr. ZHANG’s keen realization of study on the conception and essence of Design. In the meanwhile, proposing to study foreign Design is one of the way and method for perfecting the Chinese Modern Design System.By researching in Mr. ZHANG’s opinion of the importance of Folk Culture in culture classification, the relation of Folk Art to Folk Fine Art and Folk Craft, and the foundation of Chinese Folk Art Discipline, the author has analyzed and explained his insight of“Parent Form Culture”, then analyzed his ideal and method of renaissance of Folk Culture and Folk Art based on the Chinese traditional culture.The author has unscrambled theoretical essentials concerned with the construction of Fine Art Discipline, and elucidated his rational consideration in aesthetics. In the meanwhile, by showing through that Mr. ZHANG founded the Art Discipline, the author has manifested his distillate of the Art itself, macroexamination of the Art Discipline and systematical outlook of Art Education. Lastly, the author summarized the characteristic of Mr. ZHANG’s writings and academic studies, and the inspiration of his theoretical creation in the future.
