以杜维明和成中英为例的波士顿儒学与夏威夷儒学思想研究

【摘要】 儒学虽发源于中国,但早已走向世界,成为世界哲学的重要组成部分。随着儒学传入美国,亦产生了美国儒学,其中影响较大的是以波士顿为中心的波士顿儒家学派和以夏威夷为中心的夏威夷儒家学派。本文以两派的主要代表人物杜维明、成中英为例,探讨美国不同派别的儒学思想,力图站在国际视角来审视儒学,为世界范围内的儒学研究增添新鲜血液。杜维明一方面对作为其思想根基的儒家传统资源进行批判性继承及创造性转化;另一方面,基于儒家包容性人文主义,对以一元现代性论说、西方中心主义以及人类中心主义为特征的启蒙心态进行深层反思和理论扬弃,并将工业东亚视为儒家伦理影响下出现的一种新现代性模式。他建构起“文化中国”的三个意义世界;积极提倡“文明对话”;致力于“儒学第三期发展”,为儒学世界化付出很大努力。成中英将“本体”与“诠释”有机结合,创立“本体诠释学”体系。他阐扬中西哲学尤其是儒家哲学的核心价值;探讨“融合文化”与“冲突文化”,提倡以“文明的理性”、“文明对话”取代“文化冲突”;提出“新新儒学”与“后后现代”,彰显中国古典性与西方现代性的共融,以开发一个以个人与群体互动的整体伦理,真正实现中国哲学的重建。

【Abstract】 Although Confucianism originated in China’s thought culture system, but already moves toward the world, and becomes an important part of the world philosophy. With the introduction of Confucianism to the United States, the United States have also had Confucianism, which have significant impacts are Boston Confucianist school and Hawaiian Confucianist school.This article takes two schools’main representative personage Tu Wei-ming and Cheng Zhong-ying as the examples to discuss the thoughts of different schools of American Confucianism, trying to stand up on the international perspective to examine Confucianism, and adding fresh blood to the world research of Confucianism.On one hand, Tu Wei-ming carried on critical inherit and creative transformation to Confucianist tradition resources as its thoughts foundation. On the other hand, based on Confucianist comprehensive humanism to carry on deep reflection and theory abandoned of the single modernity, Western-centrism as well as anthropocentrism as the characters of the mentality of Enligtenment, and regards industry East Asia as one kind of new modernity pattern which appears under the Confucianist ethics influence. He constructs“cultural China”three significant worlds, actively promote“dialogue of civilizations”, devotes in“the third phase of the development of Confucianism”, makes the very great effort for Confucianism world. Cheng Zhong-ying makes" ontology " and "interpretation" organic integration, created“Onto—Hermeneutics”system. He propagated the core value of China and the West philosophy particularly Confucianist philosophy, discusses“fusion culture”and“conflict culture”, and advocates“civilized rationality”,“dialogue of civilizations”instead of "cultural conflict", proposed“New Neo-Confucianism”and“After Post-modern age”, shows Chinese classical and the West modernity altogether melts, in order to develop a personal and group interaction whole ethics , realizes truly reconstruction of Chinese philosophy.
