当代西方建筑形态数字化设计的方法与策略研究

【摘要】 在过去的几十年间,随着科技的发展,尤其是在以计算机技术为核心的数字化技术推动下,新的建筑形态设计方法与策略向传统的理论与实践发起了冲击与挑战。本论文试从理论与实践两个角度,对当代西方建筑形态数字化创作中具有代表性的设计方法和策略进行分析和整理,并在宏观、中观、与微观层面上对其产生、发展、变化的社会背景、理论背景和具体操作做出相应的探讨。通过对西方建筑形态创作思潮多元化图景以及当代建筑设计数字化转变历程的梳理,作者对一些具有代表性和包容性的方法与策略进行了分析。它们主要包括三个方面:第一,异质要素的数字融合,分析了建筑形态设计中的拓扑变形方法,指出其所包含的社会意识的多样性诉求、科学基础的多学科互动、以及变形方法的丰富与有效;第二,产品形式的数字构造,回顾了技术主义驱动下的建筑产品形态的发展线索,讨论了在数字技术的支持下,尤其是构造成为数字计算的一项直接的功能时,产品形式关心如何充分利用数字化生产提供的机会,以及什么样的设计实践是最有利的,作者还以建筑表皮创作和参数化设计为这类方法与策略进行了求证;第三,复杂系统的数字生成,讨论了最近在建筑形态创作中引入的突现理论以及与此密切相关的形态发现设计法,指出突现理论不仅能够解释自然界进化、存续的现象,同时能够指导形态发生设计法为建筑设计提供一系列数据规则,由此产生的复杂形态、复杂行为、人工智能模型是建筑师对非线性、非决定性的追求。由于当代建筑形态数字化创作离不开软件的支持,文章还将上述方法与策略的研究推进到微观层次。对于种类众多的三位模型软件如何理解、认识是作者的研究初衷,目的在于发现和探讨不同类型软件的三维造型特点和一些潜在的规律。论文是对西方当代建筑形态数字化设计方法与策略的局部性研究,文中所总结的内容并不是当代西方建筑形态发展的全部数字化方法,但是它们有一定的典型性,能够从特定的角度解释先锋建筑师的建筑创作。

【Abstract】 In the last several decades of years,with the development of technology, and, complexity sciences in particular,viewpoint of new science terminated the domination of Classic Science。This paper tries to analyze and classify the representational design methods and strategies of the current western architectural morphology digital design from the point of theory and practice, and further studies the social background、academic base and practical operation of its generation、development and change from macro , meddle and micro level.They mainly include three parts. The first is the digital amalgamation of the heterogeneity elements. It analyzes the topology transformation in the architectural morphology design, and points out the multiple needs of the social consciousness, multi-subjects exchange based on the science and richness and effectiveness of transformation. The second is the digital tectonics of the product form. The author reviews the development clue of the technology-driven architectural product form, discusses how product form can make fully use of the opportunity provided by digital generation with the support of the digital technology, especially when tectonics has become a direct function of the digital computing, and further testifies the methods and strategies in architectural surface creation and parameter design. The third is the digital generation of the complexity system. First the author discusses the latest emergence theory in architectural morphology design and closely-related form-finding design methods. Then he points out that emergence theory can be used not only to explain the nature evolution and development phenomena, but also to direct form-finding design methods to provide a series of data formula and resultantly to produce complex form, behavior, and artificial aptitude model, which are the pursuing targets of architects. Because architectural morphology digital design needs the support of software, the author further studies the micro level of it. How to understand a number of 3-D model software is the original intention of the author, and the aim is to find out and work over the characteristics and some potential discipline of different software.The author only concerns the partial field in methods and strategies of the current western architectural morphology digital design. The conclusion in this paper doesn’t contain all of them, but they are representative and can be used to explain the works of the pioneer architects from a certain point of view. Finally,based on all the conclusions drawn from the researches in this thesis,The author intends to outline the future of Chinese architectural design in the digital age.
