视频格式转换系统和芯片

【摘要】 随着新型显示设备、新的电视广播格式和各类多媒体设备的发展,市场需要高质量的视频格式转换技术显示各种信号。视频后处理芯片可以完成各种格式转换,包括去隔行、空间缩放、帧率变换、画质增强等等,进一步提高观赏的效果。目前我国数字视频后处理芯片的市场基本被国外公司(Trident、PixelWorks等)所垄断,研制具有自主知识产权的芯片具有非常重大的意义。 论文主要针对后处理芯片中的关键技术——去隔行、缩放、降噪等进行了深入的研究:提出了白有的基于边缘的运动自适应去隔行算法、图象缩放算法和三维亮色降噪,已经申报4项国家发明专利;其余专利目前正在中报中。介绍了该芯片实现的架构和各部分的介绍,最后简单介绍了目前芯片的几个应用方案。 论文提出的算法最终是面向芯片实现的,因此论文接下来主要介绍了业界具有领先水平的两款视频后处理芯片中的去隔行算法:飞利浦的基于运动补偿的方法和Faroudja的基于边缘检测的方法。自有的边缘算法消除了传统算法在物体边缘处存在的锯齿,可以得到清晰平滑的边缘,基本达到了DCDi算法的水平。介绍了视频图像进行scaling的必要性,回顾了现有学术界的经典图像缩放技术,在结合经典缩放技术优点基础上提出基于边缘的图像缩放改进方案。分析了各种噪声模型和各类噪声的产生根源,然后在回顾各种视频降噪的方法以及分析各种算法优缺点后,提出一种新型的三维递归降噪模型思想,提高了降噪图像的信噪比。 论文简要介绍了芯片的硬件实现架构和各部分的功能、实现方法等,然后简单介绍了目前该芯片的整机应用。 论文最后做了总结和对今后的工作做了展望:根据市场需求细分产品,随着技术进步改善性能,芯片的集成度需进一步提高。

【Abstract】 The combination of new displays, new TV broadcasting formats and the advent of multi-media equipment has rapidly increased the need for high quality consumer video format conversion. Digital video post-processing 1C is designed for consumer video format conversion to attain high quality image, which mainly includes de-interlacing spatial conversions and picture rate conversion. At the present time, the domestic market is almost monopolized by foreign companies such as Trident Pixel Works. It is very important to develop our own Digital video post-processing IC.This dissertation mainly focuses on the key technology in the Digital video post-processing IC-de-interlacing scaling and noise reduction. In the dissertation, the author proposes our own edge-based motion adaptive de-interlacing algorithm, image scaling algorithm and algorithm of 3D luminance and color noise reduction, which has been applied for four patents and other patents should be applied soon. It introduced the frame of the IC and its main parts. In the end give the application of the IC.As the algorithm proposed in this dissertation is designed for IC, the following part of the dissertation introduce two leading algorithm that has been implemented in IC: Philips’s motion compensated de-interlacing algorithm and Faroudja’s edge-based de-interlacing algorithm. Simulation shows our own edge-based algorithm can remove the sawtooth on the object’s edge, and has basically reach the level of DCDi. It introduces the necessity of image scaling, After reviewing many classical image interpolation methods the paper proposes a image interpolating algorithm based on edge and get a high image quality. Here introduces some noise modules, and overviews the classical noise reduction methods and analyzed their advantages and disadvantages. At last, the dissertation proposed a new 3-D recursive noise reduction method to improve the signal-to-noise ratio after noise suppression.this dissertation simply introduces the the frame of the IC and the function of its main parts,and give the means of realization . then the dissertation simply give the application of the IC.At last the dissertation give the summary and point out some work to do in the future: more productions meet the need of the market, improving the performance with the advance of technology, improving the grade of integration of the IC.
