展示与传播—民国美术展览会特性研究(1911-1949)

【摘要】 随着二十世纪初美术展览会在中国的兴起,以及民国前中期的盛极一时,直至民国后期的稳定发展,促使我国近代美术的展示与传播进入了一个完全开放的系统,成为艺术观念与主张、美术作品与思潮进行交流与推广的至为重要的媒介和载体。正是由于美术展览会的出现和发展改变了近代中国民众的社会文化心理,拓展了文化艺术的传播路径与交流空间,促进了中国传统文化的主动转型、中西美术的相互交流与融汇,以及中国美术现代化进程的不断推进与深化。然而,美术史学界对它的关注远远不够,大部分局限于近现代美术展览历史的研究或是分散的区域或个案研究。民国时期美术展览会的根本特征和内在规律还未被全面、系统、深入地研究,其社会功能及历史作用也没有得到应有的肯定与认同。本课题以民国时期美术展览会所蕴含的两大核心语汇——“展示”与“传播”为崭新的切入角度进行辨析与分析。笔者在已有学术研究成果的基础上,进一步收集、整理和分析民国时期的报纸、期刊、书籍以及历史档案等史料,在对各类美展活动定量分析基础之上对整个民国时期美术展览会进行整体上的定性分析与研究。笔者还在纵向上打通历史时间的界限,以及横向上突破美术展览会形式上的多元,首次归纳总结出了民国时期美术展览会的四大特性——教育性、现代性、公益性和市场性。具体来讲就是:第一部分,从人体美展所引起的普通民众从封建道德伦理走向现代审美趣味的启蒙教育、从中小学儿童到艺术院校再到社会大众全面实现社会美育教育及爱国主义教育的美术展览会、以及实现美术学科发展的成绩美展、社团美展等个方面探讨美术展览会的教育性特征;第二部分:从美术展览自身形式的现代呈现、引发了中西绘画的现代性美术思潮的兴起、以及美术展览对于中西绘画创作的现代转型的影响等方面研究美术展览的现代性特征;第三部分:从以赈灾救难、帮困扶弱以及抗日救国为目的的筹款(物)美展来分析美术展览会的公益性特征;第四部分:以美术展览会为交易平台的艺术品流通从艺术家的艺术生产、艺术品定价、艺术品交易和艺术品消费等艺术市场中各个要素及相互关系等方面来考察美术展览会的市场性特征;通过对于民国时期美术展览会这四大特性的系统深入研究,深刻揭示民国时期美术展览会的内在规律和根本特征,并明确和揭示了其在中国美术近代化进程中所承担的历史责任和引领并推进近代中国美术逐步走向现代和不断变革深化所发挥的重大历史作用。

【Abstract】 Since the early20th, Art Exhibition is rising in China and it was blooming during the former interim of Republic of China till stable development in late Republic of China which leads Chinese modern art exhibition and dissemination into a fully opened system and art exhibition become a very important media and carrier of the communication among artistic concepts, artworks and ideological trend. The emergence and development of Art Exhibition has changed people’s socio-cultural psychology and expanded the propagation path and exchange space of culture and arts. It has also promoted the initiatively transformation of Chinese traditional culture, mutual exchanges between Chinese and Western Art and the progress of modernization of Chinese Art. However the academic circles of art history do not pay enough attention to Art Exhibition and the researches were mostly limited to the history of modern art exhibition. Fundamental characteristics and inherent laws of Art Exhibition during the Republic of China haven’t been studied comprehensive, systematically and deeply and social function and role in history of it hasn’t been affirmed and recognized as it deserved.This article differentiates and analyzes in exhibition and transmission which were two core vocabulary contained by the Art Exhibition during the Republic of China. I analyzed and researched qualitatively on the whole period of Republic of China on the basis of quantitative analysis on kinds of art exhibition after I collect, arrange and analyze papers, periodicals, books and profiles deeply based on current researches. When I break the boundary of time and breakthrough the multiple forms, finally, I summarized the Four Features of Art Exhibition during the Republic of China which are instructive, modernity, welfare and marketability. On the first part, I’ll discuss instructive feature on various aspects such as elementary education of modern aesthetic taste among ordinary people caused by body art exhibition, art exhibition of aesthetic education and patriotic education which were realized from school children to art college even ordinary people, the Performance Art Exhibition and Society Art Exhibition which lead to the development of Art disciplines. On the second part, I’ll elaborate the modernity feature of Art Exhibition such as art exhibition presented itself in the form of modern, the rise of modern art paintings and Western Thought and modern transformation of Chinese and Western painting. On the third part, I’ll explain the welfare feature of Art Exhibition through those art exhibitions purpose on relief and rescue, helping the vulnerable and Japanese national salvation. Finally, I’ll present the marketability of Art Exhibition by explaining elements of art market such as art production, artwork pricing, art trade, artwork consumption and relationship among them. I profoundly reveal the Fundamental characteristics and inherent laws of Art Exhibition during the Republic of China, its historical responsibility in the process of modernization of Chinese art and the significant historical role of promoting Modernization and constantly changing of Modern Chinese Art through my study on the features of Art Exhibition during the Republic of China systematically and deeply.
