【副题名】历史共振中的郑锦和北京美术学校初期图案教学研究

【摘要】 郑锦,中国历史上第一座现代意义上的国立美术学校的创始人,担任第一任校长长达七年之久。郑锦的美术教育思想与实践具有鲜明的时代印记,他既是美术界尤其是美术教育界西学东渐的关键点,也是蔡元培“美育代宗教”思想的身体力行者,既是民国初期美术“致用”理念的倡导者,更是中国末世文人、留学画人为美术教育的普及殚精竭虑、倾尽所能的一个缩影。本论文研究的视角聚焦于郑锦前半生的学历及美术教育经历,借由梳理他与同时期经济、政治、社会思潮、文化精英的正向关联,探讨在中国现代美术教育发轫阶段,各种文化思潮、文化力量对这一时期的美术教育特别是图案教育产生了怎样的影响,进一步探究其影响的实施途径,并以此为线索,呈现出20世纪上半叶时局变革、文化激荡等多种因素共同作用下复杂而多元的中国美术教育图景。在论述过程中本论文创造性地提出了“历史共振”理论,尝试将郑锦这样一个有机体置于同为有机体的历史当中,在特定时期影响历史共振的变量因素与系统的关系梳理中做出相应的价值判断,探寻看似历史的偶然选择背后的必然原因,由此还原他在中国早期图案教学领域的历史地位;同时依托对影响历史振动频率的诸因素的分析,兼顾接受理论中“霍尔模式”的影响,生成适度超前、同频共振是个体最有效的发声方式的结论,并且为今后的设计史个案研究提供一个新的视角。

【Abstract】 Zheng Jin, is the founder and the seven‐year first principle of the first modern national art school in Chinese history. He defines his art educational concepts and practice with vivid era characteristics. And he is also regarded as the key figure of the Dissemination of Western Learning to the Orient. In addition, he is known as the executor of the theory that aesthetic educational should replace religion proposed by Cai Yuanpei. Moreover, as the advocator of the “application” concept during the early time Republic of China, as well as the epitome of the scholars of last days and those artists studying abroad, he struggles hard for the widespread of art education. This paper focuses on his experiences of early‐year learning and art education, probing how various cultural thoughts and powers influence the art education, and the design education especially during the beginning stages of Chinese modern art education through. Besides, the paper combs the positive incidence between Zheng Jin and the economy, politics, ethos and cultural elites of his period for the carry‐out way of his influences. On its basis, the complicated and multicultural Chinese art education caused by changes of times and cultural agitation of thefirst half of the20th century will be presented. During the process, this paper creatively proposes the theory of “historical resonance”, and attempts to put Zheng Jin into the organic history as an organism. It combs the variable factors that influence the historical resonance in the specific historical periods to make correspondent value judgment. Our purpose is to pursue inevitable reasons behind the seemingly accidental choices to restore his historical status in the early‐time Chinese design teaching. At the same time, it will draw a conclusion that the best expressing way of an individual is to be moderately proceeded yet to achieve the same frequency resonance. And the conclusion is based on the analysis of various factors that influence the historical resonance frequency when combined with the Hall’s mode of the reception theory, providing a new perspective for the future individual case study.
