思想政治教育的文化功能研究

【摘要】 作为一种人类特有的存在方式,文化是人类一切文明成果的总和,它以物质的、精神的和制度的形式记载着人类存在的历史,体现着人类超越动物本性的特有精神气质。而从本质上来讲,以推动人的自由全面发展进而维系和促进社会存在和发展为主要目标的思想政治教育,与文化有着密不可分的内在联系。一方面,思想政治教育以文化为根本,为这一人类特有的实践活动提供从内容到形式,从物质到精神的全方位支撑;另一方面,思想政治教育是文化的魂,它以主流价值观念为核心不断进行着社会文化体系的建构,推动文化的发展,进而完成“文化化人”的任务。可以说,思想政治教育天然地承载着一定的文化责任与使命,或者说,思想政治教育本质上就是一种文化。而传统的思想政治教育政治符号明显,文化特征式微,价值判断通常趋向于非此即彼的模式。这种政治型思想政治教育在特殊时期、特定情况下发挥了其应有作用,但在社会发展的一般常态下,就会显露出其弊端。使思想政治教育重新回归文化本性,在承认思想多样、包容价值差异的前提下,以社会主义核心价值体系为主要内容,以传统文化的思想内涵为依托,以外来文化的思想精华为借鉴,完成对人的思想培养与价值观念的培育。作为推动社会文化发展的主体的人,在完整的思想价值观念体系的框架内,自觉践行社会主义核心价值体系,弘扬传承中华传统文化思想精髓,用开放的眼光吸收、借鉴优秀的外来文化思想,从而发挥出思想政治教育以主流文化为核心,对文化进行引领、传承与整合的文化功能。思想政治教育发挥文化功能,提高文化的思想性、科学性、创新性和包容性,进而为建设社会主义先进文化做出应有的贡献,在推动文化发展的同时,实现以文化人,以文兴政。本文从思想政治教育的文化本性出发,明确思想政治教育以育人为根本目标,通过对人的培养,由人来完成思想政治教育的文化功能,进而又探讨了优化思想政治教育文化功能的路径与方式。首先,本文从界定“文化”、“功能”、“思想政治教育功能”、“思想政治教育文化功能”等概念入手,进一步从性质、目的、相互作用及关系等角度,明确了思想政治教育从一定意义上来讲就是一种文化的观点。探讨思想政治教育发挥文化功能的内外机制,结合当代社会文化发展现实,阐明了思想政治教育发挥文化功能的现实必然性。其次,回顾了经典作家的关于思想政治教育文化功能的理论,及在此指导下中国共产党的理论与实践,并借鉴了西方,尤其是文艺复兴以来关于德育文化功能的相关理论。虽然很多理论家们并没有直接提出“思想政治教育文化功能”这一概念,但他们在不同的历史时期、不同的社会发展背景及不同的社会生产状况下,提出了丰富的关于思想政治教育文化功能的思想和理论。认真总结、归纳、研究这些思想及理论,对于我们今天更好地发挥思想政治教育的文化功能,起到了重要的指导作用和理论支撑。最后,探讨了思想政治教育发挥文化功能的具体方式及主要内容。作为文章的重点部分,对思想政治教育的文化功能加以详细的解读是一个必要的环节。在这一环节中,分别从思想政治教育的文化引领、文化传承和文化整合三种功能的角度加以详细论述。对这三种功能的探讨,都是先从内涵界定入手,回答了“是什么”的问题;再详细、分别论述思想政治教育发挥这三种文化功能的必要性,回答了“为什么”的问题;最后分别提出思想政治教育发挥这三种文化功能的途径与方法,回答了“怎么办”的问题。在对这三种文化功能的详细探讨的过程中,都无一例外地提到了思想政治教育首先是一个育人的实践活动,是经过培养、教化的人,在用社会主义核心价值体系引领文化发展、用传统文化传承文化发展脉络及对外来优秀文化思想进行整合的过程中,使思想政治教育发挥文化功能。同时提出这三种文化功能是思想政治教育发挥其文化功能的三个重要方面,且这三个方面是相互影响、相互联系、相互依存的,不能随便割裂这三者间的联系,以便形成合力,使思想政治教育更好地发挥其文化功能。思想政治教育是人类特有的一种实践活动,其存在及发展是有阶级社会以来社会协调发展的需要,更是人类自由全面发展的需要。它既在不同的历史发展阶段维护着统治阶级的利益,又以其文化的本性记载着人类文化发展的历史。今天的思想政治教育,我们除了一如既往地尊重并发挥其政治功能,还要大力发挥其文化功能,使其在文化引领、文化传承及文化整合方面做出应有的贡献。

【Abstract】 As a peculiar existence of human being, culture is the sum of all human civilizationachievements, it is in the form of material, spirit and system records the history of humanexistence, embodies the human characteristic of transcending animal nature spirittemperament. But in essence, to promote people’s free all-round development, in turn, tomaintain and promote social existence and development as the main goal of ideologicaland political education, is closely connected with culture before have internal relations.On the one hand, the ideological and political education to culture as the basis, to providea uniquely human practice activity from content to form, from matter to spirit ofall-round support;, on the other hand, the ideological and political education is the soulof culture, constructs the social culture system with mainstream values which is the coreof it, promote the development of culture, and then complete the task of "culture man" Asit were, ideological and political education takes the cultural responsibility on, or,ideological and political education is essentially a kind of culture. And traditionalideological and political education has obvious political symbol, cultural characteristicsdecline and value judgment will always tend to the pattern of indeterminacy. Thepolitics-oriented ideological and political of education in the special period, particularcase plays its proper role, but under the general norm of social development, will showits defects. Return of ideological and political education to nature and completesnurturing the views of human mind and values, by taking socialist core value system asthe main content, which is based on the connotation of traditional culture, to thought theessence of foreign culture for reference, to complete the training on people’s mind andvalues. As the main body to promote the development of society and culture,in thecomplete framework of ideological concept system of value, we should fulfill thesocialist core value system consciously, carry forward the essence of traditional Chineseculture heritage and draw on the excellent foreign cultures with open eyes in order toplay out ideological and political education in mainstream culture as the core, leading thedirection of cultural development, inherit cultural development context, and finallyintegrate the cultural function in cultural development system. Ideological and politicaleducation plays its cultural function, improves the ideological level, scientificity, innovativeness and inclusiveness of cultural construction, and then makes duecontributions in the promotion of cultural development for the construction of anadvanced socialist culture, while it promotes the development of culture, it also achievesthe purpose to shape people with culture and to revitalize politics with culture.This paper is built on the cultural basis of ideological and political education,make clear the relations between ideological and political education and culture, alwayswith the goal of educating people as the starting point of ideological and politicaleducation, explore the path and ways of how ideological and political education plays itscultural function by nurturing people and let them to complete the cultural function ofideological and political education.Firstly, this paper starts with the concept of "culture","function","Ideological andPolitical Education","ideological and political education and cultural functions", andmakes the relations of ideological and political education and culture clear by clarifyingthe related concepts of ideological and political education and cultural functions from thefurther view of the relations of nature, purpose, interaction, and considers thatideological and political education is a kind of culture in some certain sense. To explorehow the ideological and political education plays its cultural function of internal andexternal mechanisms by regarding the ideological and political education as a culture andcombines with the reality of contemporary social and cultural development, this paperelaborates the practical inevitability of cultural functions of ideological and politicaleducation.Secondly, the author has reviewed some outstanding writers’ theory of culturalfunction of ideological and political education, and under the guidance of the theory andpractice of the Chinese Communist Party in ideological and political education andculture, the author also drawing theories from the West, especially the theories on themoral and cultural features since the Renaissance. Although many theorists did notdirectly mention the concept of " ideological and political education and culturalfunctions", but they had made rich ideas and theories on ideological and politicaleducation and culture function in different historical periods, different backgrounds anddifferent social development of social production conditions. To sum up, summarize andstudy these ideas and theories conscientiously is better for us today to play its culturalfunction through the ideological and political education and it plays an important guiding significance, it also provides us an important theoretical support.The last part is about the specific methods and main contents of cultural functionthat is presented by ideological and political education. As an important part of the paper,it is a necessary step to make a detailed interpretation of such cultural function. In thisstep, we will discuss the three functions of ideological and political educationseparately—that is, cultural, cultural transmission and cultural integration. As for thediscussion of the three functions, we all start from connotation limits, trying to answerthe question of “what it is”; then discuss the necessity of the cultural functions presentedby ideological and political education, which shows the reason to discuss it; finally, putforward the approaches and methods to develop these functions, which tells us how tomake it. During the process of discussion, all the parts indicate that ideological andpolitical education, at first, is a practical activity. The men, who are educated andcivilized, are trying to play the cultural functions of ideological and political education.This always happen in the process, in which socialist core value system leads to thecultural development, the traditional culture transmits the cultural skeleton, andintegrates the excellent foreign cultural thoughts. These three cultural functions are thevery important aspects for ideological and political education, and they could interact,interrelate and inter depend. Their connections could not be dissevered. Instead, theyshould be integrated as one to better develop the cultural functions of ideological andpolitical education.Ideological politics education is a kind of activity, uniquely human society since itsexistence and development is a class society coordinated development needs, but also theneed of comprehensive development of human freedom. It protects the interest of rulingclass in different history periods and records human beings’ history of culturedevelopment by a recognition of the basic human culture.Today’s ideological andpolitical education, we continue to respect and develop its political functions, andvigorously develop its cultural function, make its lead in culture, cultural inheritance andcultural integration to make due contributions.
