大众文化视野下现代体育的视觉化生存

Visual Living of Modern Sports on the Mass Cultural Vision

【摘要】 体育作为一种社会活动,以身体叙事作为主要表达方式。受大众文化的影响,现代体育体现出很鲜明的视觉特征。本文以在现代体育领域中由审美泛化所引起的视觉化现象为主要研究对象,以文献资料法、逻辑分析法和观察法作为主要研究方法,探讨了受大众文化、消费主义和大众传媒影响下的现代体育走上视觉化道路后发生的新的美学流变和美学特征。视觉化生存成为现代体育走上审美泛化道路之后所遵循的最重要的美学原则。大众文化、消费主义与大众传媒,是现代体育走上视觉审美化道路的三个必要条件。随着身体的价值在以视觉化为主要审美原则的当代社会得到了相当的重视,审美重心逐渐向以身体为代表的视觉符号下移。受此影响,社会大众对现代体育的注意力往往集中在身体运动所带来的感性欲望的追求与满足上,而对精神的烛照与意义的思考则退居次要地位。现代体育对感性愉悦的追求体现出对个体生命的关怀和尊重,从身体主体和观者角度两方面被赋予了新的审美功能和价值。“视觉化”形成了现代体育新的意义和价值,体现在审美价值的多元化格局、大众选择的多样性满足、崇高隐退的世俗化意义以及身体维度的消费性追求几个方面。在当今社会,消费主义主导了体育发展的价值取向,这种受制于市场逻辑的审美泛化理念会消解体育固有的精神烛照功能,而大众媒体则为这种理念提供了技术平台,在追求视觉感官愉悦以求得市场的过程中往往伴随着急功近利的价值取向,现代体育的娱乐化倾向在取悦大众的过程中逐渐呈现出低俗化、媚俗化以及美化暴力的倾向,大众文化在过度商业化、标准化以及意识形态控制方面的功能在体育领域中初现端倪。人们对体育的关注已经逸出体育范畴本身,体育的发展同时也受到了比以往更多的外力因素的影响,现代体育在当代中国的发展也出现了不同程度的异化,随着社会风气的日益开放,体育价值取向开始呈现多元化的特点,各种冲突与矛盾也在大众文化与主流文化、西方文化与中国传统文化的交流与碰撞之中凸显出来,必须需要通过批判的力量来进行反思。现代体育应该是既注重日常的感性体验又不放弃价值理性维度的追求,既渴望审美愉悦的身体解放又不舍弃神性维度的精神提升。必须通过恢复对崇高与永恒的敬畏、捍卫精神与理想的至上、重新定位现代体育的价值坐标等来构建体育的当代价值。

【Abstract】 As a social activity, sports is mainly expressed in the form of physical narrative. Influenced by the mass culture, modern sports embodies quite distinct visual characteristics. On the other hand, public’s attention on the modern sports is often concentrated on desire satisfaction via physical activities, with the pursuit of the spirit in the backseat. Visualization survival is considered as the most important aesthetic principle of the modern sports in the mass culture era.Mass culture, consumerism and mass media are the three necessary conditions for the modern sports to take the road of the visual aesthetic. It is the trend of the modern sports to develop toward aestheticization, and the resulting aesthetic vulgarization phenomenon is inevitable along with the development of the sports in modern business world and the development of modern society.The primary function of modern sports has gradually shifted from educational fitness to entertainment, which substitutes the political function of sports as well. Therefore, elitist value is replaced by carnival-style aesthetic taste and hedonism becomes the universal principle of modern sports.In today’s society, consumerism dominates the value orientation in the process of sports development. Aestheticization subject to the marketing logic will dispel the inherent value of sports, and mass media has provided a technical platform for aestheticization, which aggravates the value orientation toward quick success and ruins the humanism ecological environment to a certain extent. As a result, public concentration on sports has exceeded the sports category itself and the development of sports is impacted by external factors more than ever before. Negative features appears in the postmodernism era in sports.Modern sports should focus on both perceptual experience and rational pursuit, both body liberation and spirit enhancement. Physical culture without aesthetic and humanistic ideals is terrible and dangerous when it becomes market-first and pragmatic. The power of aesthetics can certainly enhance the spiritual condition of the publics, and thus avoid alienation of the sports.
