【摘要】 本文通过构建理论模型，分析了金融开放、技术进步与出口复杂度之间的内在机理，发现金融开放可以通过促进技术进步提升出口复杂度。在理论分析的基础上，本文采用124个国家（地区）的面板数据进行实证检验，发现金融开放确实能促进出口复杂度的提升，且技术进步是金融开放提升出口复杂度的重要中介变量。本文基于工具变量的回归和一系列稳健性检验进一步证实了上述结论。此外，分国家类型的讨论显示，金融开放对出口复杂度的提升作用在中等收入国家的表现最为明显。本文提出，通过推动金融开放来促进技术进步和出口复杂度的提升是一项值得重视的政策措施。更多还原

【Abstract】 This paper constructs a theoretical model to analyze the underlying mechanisms of financial openness, technological progress and export complexity. We find that financial openness can enhance export complexity by promoting technological progress.Based on theoretical analysis, this paper empirically tests the model propositions using panel data from 124 countries(economies) and concludes that financial openness indeed can promote export complexity, with technological progress serving as a crucial intermediary variable. Regressions based on instrumental variables and a series of robustness checks further validate this conclusion. In addition, we also find that the influence of financial openness on export complexity is most notable in middle-income countries, which underscores the importance of utilizing financial openness as a policy measure to promote technological progress and enhance export complexity during the process of crossing the“middle-income trap”.更多还原
