“寒门难出贵子”的现实表征、症因所在及破解路径——文化资本理论的视角
The Realistic Representation, Causes and Solutions of “Underperforming Students from Low Socioeconomic Families"——An Analysis from Cultural Capital Theory
【摘要】 “寒门难出贵子”一直是个突出的教育公平问题,在教育研究领域备受关注。布迪厄的文化资本理论为人们探讨“寒门难出贵子”的问题提供了全新的视角,为探讨教育公平问题提供了理论支撑。“寒门难出贵子”的现实表征是:欠发达地区孩子接受优质高等教育困难,农村孩子上“好大学”的机会不公平,贫家子弟在高质量高等教育竞争中居于不利地位。家庭文化贫弱、资源配置失衡、入学和人才选拔制度不公是寒门子弟不能获得同等文化资本的三重成因。阻断教育贫困代际传递的路径在于:聚焦寒门群体,弥补家庭文化资本的不足;打破闭塞僵局,促进优质教育资源的流动;加强政策干预,阻断教育贫困的代际传递。
【Abstract】 “Underperforming students from low socioeconomic families" has always been a prominent issue of educational equity, which has attracted much attention in the field of educational research.Bourdieu’s theory of cultural capital provides a new perspective for us to discuss the problem of “underperforming students from low socioeconomic families",and provides theoretical support for the issue of educational equity.The realistic representation of this issue is that children in underdeveloped areas have difficulty in receiving high-quality higher education, rural children have unequal opportunities to go to “good universities",and children from poor families are disadvantaged in the competition of high-quality higher education.Poor family cultural capital, unbalanced allocation of resources, unfair school enrollment and talent selection system are the three causes that children from poor families cannot obtain equal cultural capital.The paths to break the intergenerational transmission of educational poverty lie in focusing on the vulnerable groups to make up for the lack of family cultural capital, breaking the deadlock to promote the flow of high-quality educational resources, and strengthening policy intervention to interrupt the intergenerational transmission of educational poverty.
