美国瑶族文献与瑶族民族记忆
Yao Literature and Yao People’ s Ethnic Memory in America
【摘要】 美国瑶族文献是以口承与文本形式保存的瑶族"集体记忆",再现了瑶族族源传说以及境外迁徙之史实。这种"记忆"具有文化储存与文化认同的功能,其中的一些核心符号,构成瑶族记忆链中的重要环节,是美国瑶人在新的文化境域中进行文化重构的基础。在文化"失忆"的情况下,这些记忆符号还起着文化"修复"的重要作用。
【Abstract】 Yao literature in America is a"collective memory"of the Yao people kept in forms of oral narration and written texts,revealing the legends of the Yao ethnic origin and the history of cross-border migrations. This "memory"has the functions of cultural preservation and cultural identity: Some of the core symbols constitute an essential part of the memory chain, and a basis of Yao American ’ s cultural reconstruction under their new living environments. In the situation of cultural " amnesia",these memory symbols also have the foundation of culture "restoration".
