【Abstract】 This paper classifies the research methodologies of the contemporary oversea study of Chu Hsi into the following fives categories,mainly according to the central research methodologies certain works use(while also taking into account the methodologies used in certain periods,certain research areas,or that by certain scholars):textual analysis,historiography,philosophical discussion,cross-culturally comparative study,and appreciation from experience-via-classics.Meanwhile,to illustrate the above five-fold classification,this paper briefly summaries the main ideas of various representative works(as well as papers) in the contemporary oversea study of Chu Hsi.The purpose of this paper is to supplement the current summaries of the contemporary oversea study of Chu Hsi,which focuses too much on summarizing the study of Chu Hsi’s thought and activities while ignoring relatively the research methodologies used in studying Chu Hsi.更多还原
