基于Doherty架构的28GHz功率放大器设计
Design of 28GHz Power Amplifier Based on Doherty Architecture
【摘要】 阐述Doherty架构,基于串联-并联模式变压器对两路主PA和两路辅助PA进行功率合成。主PA工作在AB类,使用恒定gm偏置电路;辅助PA工作在C类,使用包络跟踪偏置电路。在主/辅助PA的前一级均设有DRV级作为驱动。提取后仿和EM参数后显示,该PA的1dB压缩点为21.5dBm,饱和输出功率为23dBm。1dB压缩点处的PAE为27%,回退6dB处的PAE为18%,从而能够在毫米波频段实现高数据速率通信需求。
【Abstract】 This design adopts the Doherty architecture, based on the series-parallel mode transformer for power synthesis of two main PAs and two auxiliary PAs.The main PA works in class AB and uses a constant gm bias circuit; the auxiliary PA works in class C and uses an envelope tracking bias circuit.In the previous stage of the main/auxiliary PA, there is a DRV stage as a drive. After extracting and simulating the EM parameters,it is shown that the 1 d B compression point of the PA is 21.5 d Bm, and the saturated output power is 23 d Bm. The PAE at the 1 d B compression point is 27%, and the PAE at the 6 d B back-off point is 18%. Able to achieve high data rate communication requirements in the millimeter wave frequency band.
