【Abstract】 Based on a systemic study of the relationship between harbor city and its port, this paper analyses the theories related to the evolvement characteristics of the relationship between harbor city and its port, the development types of hinterland of the harbor city, as well as the economic interaction between harbor city and its port. Through a case study, the author finds that the phase of self-increase effect is missing in Singapore’s development process. Together with the economic transition, the relationship between the harbor city of Singapore and its port is also changing, from initial contact to interrelation, and finally to agglomeration effect. The study is expected to provide reference for Chinese cities.更多还原
