高中英语课堂语法知识结构输入分析

【摘要】 高中英语课程作为普通高中的一门主要课程,不仅可以促进学生心智、情感、态度与价值观的发展和综合人文素养的提高,同时,又可以为学习国外先进的文化、科学、技术和进行国际交往创造条件。语法知识结构输入作为高中英语教学与学习的重要环节,对于高中英语整体能力的培养具有重大而深远的影响。本论文从高中英语课程标准出发,以外语学习论为指导,运用问卷调查法,课堂观察法,访谈法等研究方法,通过对当前高中英语课堂语法知识结构输入过程各个环节的调查研究,试图揭示当前高中生英语语法能力与英语整体能力的关系、语法教学在英语学科教学中的地位、语法输入的手段以及输入的效果。本研究对当前高中英语课堂语法知识输入过程进行全面分析,而不单单局限于高中英语课堂语法的教学方法和手段,从而使研究分析更为全面,更具有参考价值,为新一轮课程改革提供新的视角和数据支持。本论文共分为五个章节:第一章为引言部分,该部分阐述了本论文研究问题的提出背景和研究的意义。第二章为文献综述,主要界定和阐释了相关概念、培养英语交际能力与语法知识结构输入的关系以及国内外主要外语教学法及语法教学发展历程。第三章是研究设计部分,详细介绍了研究对象、研究方法和研究的实施过程。第四章则从学习背景、对英语语法学习的态度和认识、学习者的语法学习过程、英语语法能力与英语整体能力的关系、教材使用情况的反馈以及语法教学过程这六个方面对研究数据进行统计分析。第五章是研究结论部分,包括研究发现和研究启示。本研究发现的主要问题有:教师和学习者对英语语法知识输入的评价知行不一;语法输入过程趣味性缺对学习者的学习体验产生了负面影响;英语教学过程影响学习者对教材的满意度;学习者的语法能力与其整体英语能力密切相关;高中英语学习者语法学习策略欠缺。笔者通过本次研究得出的启示主要有:改革评价标准,推动语法教学新发展;优化语法知识输入效果必须增强输入过程的趣味性;教师应灵活运用教材;语法输入过程要注意结合语篇、语境,培养学生的语用意识;教师应帮助学习者掌握有效的学习策略。文章最后阐述了本研究的局限性。
【Abstract】 English, as one of the main courses in senior high school, can promote thedevelopment of students’ intelligence, emotion, attitude and help to cultivate theirsense of value and literacy. Meanwhile, the acquisition of English will make greatcontribution to international communication and exchanges of culture, science,technology and so on. As the most important part in senior English teachingprocess, grammar input has far-reaching influence on students’ comprehensivelanguage ability. Based on the English curriculum standards for senior high school,the related theories of foreign language learning, this thesis tries to reveal therelationship between senior high school student’ grammar competence and theircomprehensive language ability, the status, means and effect of grammar input in sEnglish classroom of senior high school by means of questionnaires, interviewsand classroom observation. This research not only focused on the methods andstyles of grammar teaching in English classroom teaching, but also cast greatconcentrations on some other aspects of grammar input process, which helps to getmore valuable and comprehensive data so as to offer some new perspectives anddata support for the next round of curriculum reform in the coming future.This thesis includes five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, whichmainly states the background of this research and its significance. The secondchapter is the literature review, in which the relevant concepts are defined while therelationship between communicative competence and grammar structure input is discussed, and the history of the foreign language and grammar teaching at homeand abroad are briefly stated. The third chapter is the research design, in this part,the study objects, research methods and the process of data collection are stated indetail. The forth chapter concentrates on the analysis of the research data from sixaspects, which are analysis on studying background, teachers and learners’ attitudeand understanding on English grammar structure input, learner’s grammar learningprocess, the relationship between students’ English grammar competence and theircomprehensive language ability, the feedback of the textbooks in practical use, andthe process of grammar teaching. The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this thesis,including the discoveries and implications of the whole study. The maindiscoveries of this study includes: both teachers’ and learners’ subjective attitudedon’t conform to their practical behavior; lacking of multiple teaching strategiesand methods has led to negative experience on grammar learning; teaching processinterferes with learner’s satisfaction for textbooks; students’ grammar competenceand their comprehensive language ability are closely related; students’ grammarlearning strategies and not enough. The implications of this thesis include: theevaluation system should be reformed so as to effectively promote thedevelopment of grammar teaching; teachers should fulfill grammar input processin order to enhance the input effect; the teaching materials should be used in amore flexible way; in order to cultivate students’ pragmatic consciousness, teachersare also supposed to put teaching materials in specific contexts; during teachingprocess, teachers should help learners master effective learning strategies. The last part of this thesis briefly states the limitations of this study.
