【Abstract】 Theoretical comparison shows that ASME method can be obtained from the special case of the simplified mechanical model of the unified theory. Typical geometries and loading are considered and the general method is used to check the adequacy of design. Predictions were compared with the results obtained from axisymmetric FEA analysis and current ASME method in this paper. Comparison results indicated that predictions given by the unified theory agree well with FEA while ASME results are not correct or not accurate.更多还原
