Van Gogh’s “Shoes”: Explaining the Object and Its Certainty
【Abstract】 Zhang Jiang’s Re-discussion on Compulsory Interpretation takes “the certainty of the object” as the first principle. In the interpretation history of Van Gogh’s “Shoes”, Heidegger, Shapiro, Derrida and Jameson had great differences in the certainty of taking “Shoes” as the object. The certainty of the object of interpretation is quite different in different disciplines and different types of literature and art. The interpretation compulsion of judging “the certainty of the object” also needs to be treated with caution, and also takes into account the differences between the interpretation object as “general object” and “aesthetic object”.
【Key words】 Van Gogh; “Shoes”; the object of interpretation; certainty; compulsory interpretation;
