句子语境对二语语块记忆影响的实证研究

【摘要】 以189名非英专大二学生为受试,采用2(语块透明度)×3(句子语境)双因素被试内实验设计,探讨句子中性语境、解释性语境和推理性语境对于透明度不同语块记忆的影响。研究发现:语块透明度和句子语境之间存在交互作用。对于低透明度的语块,解释性语境比推理性语境和中性语境更有助于提高语块的记忆效果;对于高透明度的语块,语境对语块记忆没有显著影响。解释性语境有助于语块的短期记忆,而语块透明度对语块的长期记忆产生显著影响。

【Abstract】 A2(chunk transparency)×3(sentence context) experiment with 189 sophomore non-English majors as subjects was conducted to explorethe sentence context effect on L2 lexical chunk recitation, namely, the effect of neutral context, explanatory context and inferable context on recitation of lexical chunks of different degree of transparency. The results show that sentence context and high transparency facilitate the recitation of lexical chunks. Interaction is found between transparency of lexical chunks and sentence context. Explanatory context plays more significant role than inferable context and neutral context in boosting recitation of low-transparency lexical chunks. As for high-transparency lexical chunks, sentence context effect fails to reach significance. Contextual context contributes significantly to the short-term memory of lexical chunks, while transparency exerts a major influence on the long-term memory of lexical chunks.
