【Abstract】 This paper focuses on the causative sentences with the VVde得 construction. Its subject, whether overt or in zero form, can assume the semantic roles such as agent, patient, recipient, instrument, etc. Only action verbs, mainly monosyllabic or disyllabic, can be used in the VVde得 construction. Its complement can be verb-object, head-complement, and coordinate as well as subject-predicate constructions. VVde得 is a double-verb construction. The causative meaning can be attributed by the incremental effect in verbal quantification achieved by the means of reduplication.更多还原
