【Abstract】 Tongue needling is a clinical method that uses fine needles to stimulate certain points on tongue to treat corresponding diseases. Its use was reported in classics as early as Huangdi Neijing. This article introduces the origin and development of GUANs’ tongue needling techniques and describes their theoretic ground. It also delineates the theoretic basis for the distribution of the tongue acupoints, the names and uses of the basic tongue acupoints, GUANs’ tongue needling techniques and grouping methods, and indications and contraindications of the tongue needling.The article presents the clinical experience of GUANs’ tongue needling techniques and discusses their origin and academic characteristics.更多还原
