【Abstract】 The basic requirement of utility boiler combustion is to set up the steady, high efficiency and clean combustion flame in thefurnace. This paper introduces the principle, configuration, function of combustion diagnosis and operation instruction system of utilityboilerbased upon the flame image processing as well as its application in the 300 MW utility boiler. This system can entirely realize theintelligent diagnosis and control of boiler combustion.
