【摘要】 大运河在服务国家发展、形塑社会文化及保障民生福祉等方面发挥着不可替代的作用，由此决定了大运河史研究的价值与意义。民国伊始，大运河史研究已颇受关注；新中国成立后，学界对于大运河史的研究进一步推进和深化。进入21世纪以来，随着国家对大运河工程及大运河文化建设的重视，相关研究愈益升温，视角转向微观，议题更加多元，大运河史料的学术需求也相应增加。已有的大运河史料集内容丰富，但主体内容偏向于古代，近代大运河史料的整理明显不足。夏锦文教授等主编的《近代大运河史料丛编》全面收录了与近代大运河相关的众多文献资料，部分珍稀文献系首次影印出版，且附有大量的高清原始照片，为近代大运河史的研究提供了较为丰富、完整的史料资源。《丛编》收录的史料具有较好的连续性和系统性，文献采集难度较大，从中可见编纂者工作敬业、态度严谨。该丛书的出版将会对近代大运河史的研究产生重要推动作用。更多还原

【Abstract】 The Grand Canal plays an irreplaceable role in serving national development, shaping social culture and ensuring people’s well-being. It determines the value and significance of the research on the history of the Grand Canal. At the beginning of the Republic of China, the research on the history of the Grand Canal attracted much interest. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the academic research on the history of the Grand Canal was further promoted and deepened. With the national attention on the project and the cultural construction of the Grand Canal, the research has become increasingly heated. The study perspective turned to micro, and the topics became more varied. Consequently, the demand for historical materials of the Grand Canal has also expanded. The existing historical data collection of the Grand Canal is rich, but it is mainly ancient, and the compilation of modern data is obviously insufficient. The Series of Historical Materials of the Modern Grand Canal edited by Professor Xia Jinwen and others have comprehensively collected the materials related to the modern Grand Canal. Some rare documents are first published by photocopying, and there are numerous high-definition original photos. It provides rich and complete historical materials for the study of the modern Grand Canal. This set of books is systematic and unbroken, and it is hard to collect documents. Thus, the compilers are professional and rigorous. The publication of this series will play an important role in promoting research on modern history of the Grand Canal.更多还原
