【Abstract】 The Asia-Pacific region has achieved notable results in cooperation on digital economic and trade rules, but it is facing challenges from trade protectionism and big power competition. The U.S. has promoted the adoption of rules in the Asia-Pacific region in the areas of cross-border data flow, digital intellectual property rights,non-discriminatory treatment of digital products, tariffs on electronic transmissions and domestic digital taxes, as well as cross-border privacy rules. This is partly an attempt to regain dominance over the governance of the AsiaPacific region’s rules of trade and economic rules. The U.S.-style template has raised the standard of regional digital governance, but it has seriously interfered with Asia-Pacific cooperation on digital rules by promoting confrontation between divergent camps and engaging in exclusive "small circles" of interest. China needs to respond by formulating domestic digital strategies and rules, adhering to the principles of multilateralism and inclusiveness, actively participating in high-standard digital trade and economic negotiations, promoting capacity-building and experiencesharing, and developing a Chinese template for digital trade rules.更多还原
