自贸区设立能否促进企业数字化转型——来自上市公司的证据

【摘要】 文章基于2011—2020年沪深两市A股上市制造企业的微观数据,分析自贸区政策对制造企业数字化转型的影响。研究表明:自贸试验区政策能够显著提升企业的数字化转型水平;异质性检验表明,自贸区设立对处于经济发达地区企业的数字化转型,以及对资本密集型和技术密集型企业的数字化转型的正向作用较强;从影响机制看,自贸区通过增强技术创新效应、缓解企业融资约束和提高企业资源配置效率,促进企业数字化转型。进一步地,调节效应揭示了营商环境优化在贸易便利化与企业数字化转型的关系中发挥正向调节作用。研究有助于为进一步扩大对外开放、推动企业数字化发展提供有价值的政策依据。

【Abstract】 Based on the micro-data of A-share listed manufacturing enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to2020,this paper analyzes the impact of the free trade zone policy on the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises. The research shows that the free trade zone policy can significantly improve the level of digital transformation of enterprises;the heterogeneity test shows that the establishment of free trade zones has a strong positive effect on the digital transformation of enterprises in economically developed regions,as well as on the digital transformation of capitalintensive and technology-intensive enterprises;from the perspective of impact mechanism,the free trade zone promotes the digital transformation of enterprises by enhancing the effect of technological innovation,easing the constraints of enterprise financing,and improving the efficiency of enterprise resource allocation. Furthermore,the regulatory effect reveals that business environment optimization plays a positive regulatory role in the relationship between trade facilitation and enterprise digital transformation. The research will help to provide a valuable policy basis for further expanding the opening up and promoting the digital development of enterprises.
