转变英语教学观念 关注全语言教学

Changing the Idea of English Teaching and Doing the Whole Language Teaching

【摘要】 我们的英语教学历来是以学科的面目出现的,而且这一学科往往被理解为一种工具性学科——帮助学生掌握语言这种工具。语言教学的目的被局限于让学生掌握音、音素、字、词、句、章,纠缠于语言运用的一些形式、技巧问题,忽视了语言本身的意义。本文从全语言(whole language)教学的角度探讨了英语语言学习的新途径,提出了要想改变这种状态,英语教学就必须从英语教科书教学转移到主题教学,由单纯的语言训练转变为意义教学的教学观点。

【Abstract】 Our English teaching has appeared as the face of the branch of learning,which is usually understood to be a tool to help students to learn English.The purpose of language teaching is limited to make students master the sounds,phonemes,words,expressions and articles;this makes the students involve in language usage of some forms and techniques,and ignores the meaning of language itself.This article discussed a new method of English learning from the view of the whole language teaching,provided that if the situation needs changing,English teaching has to transfer teaching points from book teaching to topic teaching and from English drills to meaning teaching.
