【Abstract】 This paper is based on Chen Congzhou’s thinking on garden restoration and his work on the eastern part of Yuyuan in Shanghai. This paper summarizes core issues in Chen Congzhou’s garden restoration concepts, and points out two principles of garden restoration, namely constraints at the technical level and cultural authenticity at the target level. It also discusses the value of these principles in maintaining the authenticity of culturalheritage of the cognitive city and its theoretical significance in the protection of urban historic areas.更多还原
